Vintage is in my blood and brings me so much joy! It provides soul, stories and uniqueness that I crave to the spaces I create, live and work in.
With that said, I’m bringing back one of my favorite blog topics I’ve shared in the past. Before I jump in, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world that our property is smack dab in the middle of the Round Top Antique show held in the spring, fall and winter.

I think it's such a cool aspect in design, and it continues to catch our eye, especially with authentic pieces like this vintage metal sign.

We found this cool sign in the French town of Marseilles, which is a beautiful beach town on the water. As we explored and took in the sights, you could really feel the soul of this old French town. It was such an incredible experience visiting this amazing place, much less being able to shop for priceless antiques there.
This vintage sign is an authentic French piece. Today there is a tremendous amount of vintage and antique knock-offs, so there's something to be said about the soul and stories carried with an authentic piece. We think this sign was used on a military road, so each man or woman who drive by it had a story and a reason for being there. That's the soul that these pieces carry with them throughout the years.
This charmingly worn sign can bring a bit of French nostalgia to your home decor. Lean it on a shelf among other cherished trinkets or hang it amid your gallery wall.

Found in the French town of Nimes, this beautifully aged "L'illustration" book dates back to 1891. From the illustrations and articles on the pages, this bound piece of French antiquity seems to be a periodical or world book.

Read MoreIt's hard to put into words how grateful we are to have hosted Emily Henderson and her team during the spring antique show. Life works in mysterious ways, as that would not have happened had we not received a cancellation the day before we got a call from Emily's team. I’d been frustrated about the cancellation, but obviously everything happens for a reason and I'm beyond thankful for it now.

When opportunity knocks, you roll up your sleeves and get to work. We had a major push to complete the final touches on the Boho build out in time for Emily's stay. We worked late nights and early mornings, living on caffeine to get the job done. We appreciate our staff, our contractors that worked round the clock, our children who pitched in and helped weekend after weekend, and our family and friends who cared for our kids while we were away. It truly does take a village!
Here’s a short recap of their stay: We had the pleasure of guiding them through the Round Top Antique Show while they stayed in our No. 1450 and Boho cottages. We were able to show them the magic of our town, give them tips on where to shop and dine, and introduce them to the show/shop owners + vendors. It was such a fun time to get to explore Round Top with them and to see it from the perspective of first-timers!

As a result of hard work and this amazing opportunity, we gained a new audience from Emily but we also gained new friends. Emily and her team were the sweetest people you could ever meet. We spent a lot of time with them and really got to know them well. Hosting Emily not only helped our business, but it also was great for our souls!

Watching Emily and her team was remarkable. They are like a well oiled machine. We're humbled by their reaction to our space and brand and are thankful for everything they've done to get the word out about us and Round Top!

We're in the middle of the amazing craziness of the Round Top Antiques Show, but we just wanted to take a minute to highlight one of our good friends, Vicki Davis, and her show, The Texas Rose Antique Show. Smoot and I have been buying from Vicki since we started going to Round Top, which has been some years ago.
