I can't begin to express how grateful we are to get to do what we love, but more importantly to do it with a TRIBE of people that we really connect with, that inspires our creativity, and that makes us happy. "Inside the Tribe" is a glimpse into the lives of the sponsors, artisans and entrepreneurs that are a part of and available to meet at TRIBE in Round Top, Texas on March 29, 2016. See detailed info here.
This post is focusing on two unique artisans: Jill Garber and Pandora De Balthazar.
In life, everyone has to take their own unique path to discover what their true passion is. Sometimes it takes years and countless learning experiences to figure it all out, but for designer Jill Garber the entrepreneurial spirit was always alive and kicking. She was already running her own businesses in elementary school, and she credits her parents for helping develop that creativity early on. Although design was innate for Jill, she spent time studying at Parsons School of Design, and eventually went on to create prints and products for both the home décor and giftware industry. After her time in Los Angeles, she returned home to Michigan to restore the family farm her parents purchased when she was a child, and this project became a constant source of inspiration. Today, her newest creation is Le Nouveaurose, a unique line of handmade couture women's clothing, accessories, home décor and jewelry. Whether for your home, or to wear, her pieces are true treasures that are sure to spark conversation. Come meet Jill at TRIBE!
Although this Georgia gal spent a good portion of her adult career as a certified financial planner, Pandora de Balthazar's true passion for textiles was always evident. Even when traveling for work, she was always collecting new, interesting pieces. After spending time in Europe, her passion was really ignited, and she began to view textiles as "investments," just like any other true antique piece. However, Pandora's life and career was forever changed after neurosurgery in 1990, when she was confined to her bed for six months. Her bed quickly became her main source of healing, and her Hungarian healers made sure to only give her the best quality bedding. This unique experience ultimately gave life to her European Sleep System, that is now accessible to everyone. If you're in search of a luxury experience, look no further, Pandora has you covered, literally. Come out to TRIBE and talk with Pandora!
