We are getting closer and closer to putting the finishing touches on The Vintage Round Top's new Boho cottage! As we approach the big reveal in the coming weeks, we'll be sharing sneak peek images of the details chosen for the design of Boho.
If you've been following us for a little while, you may have noticed we made a big change to the property! We've hinted at it in the past few months, but we decided to paint both the new Boho cottage and No.1450 Nordic black!
We've been thinking about the color change for awhile. The black was inspired by my family's Scandinavian heritage. As I've mentioned before, my father is full Swedish and the Nordic style choice is a way for me to include a piece of him in this important part our lives. When I see our home now, it reminds me of him. We also just love the bold, crisp look of the black matched with the white accents. The color feels very modern and perfectly contrasts with the farmhouse style of the home.
We loved the idea of changing the exterior of the home, but it was a hard decision to make. I was nervous about what people would think. The black is so drastically different from the original color. We went back and forth, and ultimately decided to go with what we wanted to do, instead of what we thought other people will like. It can be so easy to search for acceptance from those around us, but we find the most joy and fulfillment from being true to ourselves. We absolutely love how the black turned out and are so happy we followed our gut.
As you can see, we haven't revealed the entire exterior yet. We still have some surprises in store and are almost complete. All of the Boho details are finally coming together so stay with us as we reveal more next week!
