MODERN LUXURY INTERIORS TEXAS FEATURE

Modern Luxury Interiors Texas Magazine is a gorgeous quarterly publication highlighting homes, designers, and architects in the Texas area. It's a source book for aesthetic inspiration. I've long been an avid reader. So, when we got an email they wanted to do a feature on Smoot and I, we were ecstatic!!    

We had a chance to meet Rhonda Reinhart, the Editor-In-Chief, when she moderated our keynote speech  at the Dallas Market this past summer. We had a great time getting to know and work with her. She has such a kind spirit. She's a busy woman as she also is the Senior Editor of Modern Luxury Dallas and Brides Magazine.        

Smoot and I have been truly humbled by the reaction to our labor of love. We could have never predicted how our lives would change after taking the scenic drive home four years ago. That fateful day lead to so many opportunities, mainly the joy to be able to create together. We ultimately thank God for leading the way!      

We've had the pleasure to work with talented editors, writers, and photographers on this journey. Case in point is Julie Soefer. We were so excited to hear that she would be shooting us. Her work is amazing and her list of clients is slightly intimidating. But, she was super down to earth and made the experience easy and fun! 

Having run a modeling agency for over 20 years in my previous career, I will say that I much prefer to be behind the camera instead of in front of it. I don't know if it's just me, but a level of self critique creeps in when my photo is being taken. Thank goodness for professional makeup artist, Andrea Schutter- Reibling! She makes it a whole lot easier.
