It's getting warmer and warmer outside, which means it's time for swimsuits and sandals, fresh summer fruit, and long-awaited getaways! After this crazy year with the flood and hard work on Boho, we decided to take our family on a much-needed vacation this summer. In anticipation of our fun beach getaway, we'll be listing our fave summer picks over the next few weeks. Up first is Modern Vintage Style Summer Fashion!
In my excitement for summer fashion, I've been looking through my Pinterest boards for some Modern Vintage Style inspiration. Summer is the season not only for vacations, but also late nights playing in the yard, spontaneous trips for ice cream, and fun barbecues! I want my clothing picks to not only accommodate our summer getaway, but any of these fun adventures.
Modern Vintage summer fashion is stylish yet easy to wear. I look for pieces that are easy to slip on, light for packing, and breezy in hot weather. During those blazing months of July and August, the last thing you want is to feel hot, sticky, and uncomfortable. I also love wearing shades of white and nautical stripes in neutrals like gray and blue. Since I wear a lot of neutrals, I try to mix in some metallics with my jewelry, sandals, or sunglasses for a little shimmer.
