FALL WORKSHOP PANELIST: SHEA MCGEE

Shea McGee, interior designer and Chief Creative Officer of Studio McGee, will be one of our panelists for our upcoming Business, Branding & Social Media Workshop on September 22, 2018. Shea got her start in the interior design industry after graduating with a degree in Public Relations, but soon realizing that designing homes was her true passion. With her ‘vanilla’ tract home acting as her canvas, her design skills started to catch the eye of friends and neighbors.
After a few semesters in design school, she had already attracted a waitlist of clients and quickly growing social media following. She and her husband Syd decided to take the leap and go into business together. They sold our home in Southern California and moved to Utah to launch their design firm and store.
Four years later, and Studio McGee has grown to be one of the most well recognized interior design firms and brands in the industry with clients nationwide, a brick-and-mortar location in Newport Beach, and a quickly expanding e-commerce business. They have been featured in Architectural Digest, Vogue Living, HGTV Magazine, Elle Decor, and Real Simple.
With almost three quarters of a million followers, Shea and Syd continue to inspire and delight their audience with behind-the-scenes looks at their remodels, home decor and styling tips, and a popular webisode series. We have loved following along with Studio McGee and can't get enough of Shea's bubbly personality and design aesthetic! When asked about what inspires her, Shea mentioned her mother’s ability to make any and every situation beautiful.
“She always has fresh flowers in the house, even if they’re just cut from her yard. It has never been about being fancy or lavish, she just likes even the simplest moments to be pretty.”
